Our Story 

 

Coombes Cosmetics LTD is a place where passion, expertise and a personal touch come together to bring you the very best in lash, beauty and nail care. Founded by Charlie Coombes, a talented and award winning lash artist, our journey began in 2010 when Charlie first trained in semi-permanent individual eyelash extensions. What started as a new craze hitting the industry quickly became Charlies passion, and after mastering the craft, she set out to perfect her skill and make eyelash extensions her specialty. As demand grew, Charlie expanded her expertise to include Russian Volume Lashing, and after realising the lack in comprehensive and supportive training within the industry, she set her sights on becoming an educator, inspiring others to excel in this art form.

In 2019 Coombes Cosmetics LTD was born out of a desire to balance family live with a thriving business. As a proud mother of three, Charlie knew that staying home wasn't going to provide the life she dreamed of, so she launched her beauty business from humble beginnings in her parents' garage. Today, we operate out of a cozy garden cabin,  where we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for every client - usually with a few furry friends to greet you!

Since rebranding in 2022, Coombes Cosmetics has grown, and Charlies right-hand and sister, Shannon, has become an integral part of the team. Shannon, trained in all things lashes, also offers brow services such as tinting, waxing and the increasingly popular Brow Lamination. Together, Charlie and Shannon bring their passion, skill and a load of sisterly shenanigans to the cabin, ensuring every client feels relaxed and at home.

Another important member of the gang is Gary Coombes, Charlies husband. With a keen interest for skincare, Gary is passionate about helping clients look after and improve their skin through treatments that boost collagen and enhance natural beauty, such as; facials, laser hair & tattoo removal, skin tightening and fat dissolving. Gary is bringing that fresh glow to the cabin!

We are also thrilled to have lovely Leonie, our talented BIAB specialist, as part of the CCLA team. Leonie is dedicated to creating strong, beautifully sculpted nails with our Builder in a bottle (BIAB) service, providing clients with long-lasting, flawless manicures that combine strength and style. 

 

Behind the scenes, we have Liberty, our content creator and social media manager, who helps bring the magic of Coombes cosmetics to life online. Liberty manages our social media presence, sharing the latest trends, promotions and glimpses of our cosy cabin life with you. She's passionate about connecting with our clients and keeping you updated on all the exciting things happening at Coombes Cosmetics.

We are a small dedicated team offering a range of services, located near the heart of Hedge End Village. Whether you're here for a relaxing lash lift, a brow makeover or skincare rejuvenation, we aim to provide a personalised experience that enhances your natural beauty whilst leaving you pampered and refreshed.
